A new, totally free internet business training course is available to anybody that wishes to ask for it. The course consists of fourteen parts and will walk you thru setting up an internet marketing business from A to Z.
Online internet marketing isn’t as simple as most people will have you believe. Before I started online marketing I owned retail stores and was convinced that my in depth knowledge of Main Street trading was sure to give me a head a start on others attempting to make a buck online. After five long years of barely making enough to cover overheads I finally had to admit that I was in deep trouble and needed help. My great ideas proved to be no more than…. Great ideas. They certainly didn’t provide enough cash to wave goodbye to my day job and live a life of luxury.
During that period I believe I bought every internet marketing tool that was advertised and read every online internet marketing EBook I could lay hands on. It seems all to no avail. I attended every seminar that appeared to offer an internet marketing opportunity or website promotion - and still my income did not rise.
One day out of sheer desperation I wrote to a lady who claimed to be a very successful internet marketer, explained my predicament and asked if she would offer some advice. Frankly I didn’t expect a reply. Can you imagine how exciting it was about two weeks after writing to receive a long and detailed letter from this lady? (I agreed not to give her name because she does have a business to run and just can’t handle calls for help from hundreds, even thousands, of people.)
The advice she gave at first appeared radical but by the time her email had been read around half a dozen times and pages of notes made it all started to make sense.
Her first piece of advice was to dump every project attempted in the past five years. If they were not making money now what right did I have to expect them to make money in the future? Unsubscribe from the mailing list of every so-called ‘guru’ that I subscribed to. Once again if they were not making money for me we must be incompatible. Also they were probably taking an hour or more of my time each day just reading their emails to be sure I didn’t miss out on the next “sure fire” money maker. (Does this sound familiar to you?)
Then she gave me the soundest advice I ever received concerning internet marketing services and it was worth far more than any advice I could pay an internet marketing consultancy. She told me to find an online business course and gave me links to two courses just like the link you will find in the authors bio at the end of this article. Advising me to pick whichever looked most suitable, follow it from A to Z and concentrate on nothing else until I was making money. After all it would become much easier to make other things work after I had made this first project financially viable because I would then have a system and be able to pick things out that fitted with my system; rather than attempt anything and everything that was on offer.
So why didn’t I use a methodical approach initially?
The answer to that lies in the depths of our psyche. Why do we not accept something as simple and logical the first time we see it? Why do we have to wait for somebody to tell that this is the simple and logical thing to do? The answer is in those two magical words: Information Overload.
Information overload goes hand in glove with computers and the internet. Go to Google and enter a simple historical name, say ‘Julius Caesar’. You will find that there are almost 4.5 million entries and each entry will tell you something slightly different. By the time you have read 20 of those entries the entire subject is becoming clouded because your mind can only handle so many chunks of information before it all becomes a jumbled mess. This is information overload when you can start quoting dozens of facts but cannot put together a simple profile of the man.
In summary: The old adage “Keep It Simple Stupid” still applies and you should always start your internet marketing career by following an internet business training course and keep every other distraction at arms length.
